New Visa Exemption Policy Boosts Tourism in China

The new visa exemption policy announced last month by China is expected to boost business connections and facilitate tourism in China. From 00:00 on December 1, 2023, to 24:00 on November 30, 2024 (Beijing time), citizens from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia holding ordinary passports who come to China for business, tourists, visiting relatives and friends, and transit reasons, will be exempted from Chinese visa to enter into China, for a period not exceeding 15 days from the date of their entry.   The citizens who do not meet the above-mentioned reasons and time limit for visa exemption or holding service (official) passports still need to apply for a Chinese visa before entering China.
